Why does exercise beat dieting?
In order to lose weight your body must burn more in energy than you consume
in your diet. Dieting alone can slow your metabolism, which is your body's
energy burning rate. In addition, by only dieting any weight loss tends to
return in the form of fat. Exercising however, increases your body's
metabolism and produces muscle tissues which burn more calories than fat.
In order to be successful in any weight loss plan, remember to include
exercise along with healthy food choices to help you achieve your desired
results. Always remember to consult with your physician before beginning
any weight loss program.
